UPDATE: PHO Order on Gatherings and Events Extended Indefinitely

By order of the PHO, all gathering and events are suspended indefinitely to significantly reduce COVID-19 transmission related to social interactions. The order came into effect November 19, 2020 at midnight and will be kept in place until further notice based on direction from the PHO. Funding Supports Businesses to Launch Online

The new Launch Online Grant program is designed to help over 1,500 eligible small- and medium-sized BC businesses adapt to changes in consumer behaviour and pivot to market their products online. The B.C. government is investing $12 million to help businesses launch or upgrade an online store that will provide the platform they need to increase their sales revenues, become more competitive and grow.
 
 

Op Ed: There Is an Urgent Need for Widespread Rapid Testing

Last week, the Canadian Chamber published an op-ed in Postmedia that focused on rapid testing and that had significant support from the business and scientific communities. Widespread vaccination of Canadians is many months away — with worrying supply concerns — while the real harm of the virus continues to be felt every day.
