October celebrates small businesses and highlights healthy workplaces. Last week was WorkPlace Bullying Awareness Week, and to help foster healthy work and volunteer environments, the Okanagan We Got This team, and Chambers throughout the valley have resources available to help ensure you have a happy, healthy time working.
If you are intimidated, find productivity is interrupted, are attacked, feel panicked or anxious when going back to work, you may well be dealing with a workplace bully. Check out these resources from the Canadian Center for Occupational Health and Safety, and WorkSafe BC to learn about the signs and symptoms of workplace bullying, and how to address them effectively.
You are a valuable part of your workplace, and your community – don’t let bullying keep you from participating in a happy, healthy way!
